If you need heat—and you need it now—these 400mm tubes are exactly what you’re looking for. We don’t use the old-school metal alloy elements here. Instead, we take carbon fiber filaments and tuck them inside a quartz or ceramic shell. It’s a much cleaner way to turn electricity into heat. The fit and the feel We settled on the 400mm length because it just fits right into most mid-sized drying and curing tunnels. It creates a tight, concentrated heat zone. One of the best parts? Carbon fiber doesn’t really care about rapid temperature swings. It doesn’t warp or bend when you crank the heat up. You get a steady, even glow across the whole length, so you don’t have to worry about those annoying cold spots ruining your work. What’s actually inside Inside that tube, you’ve got high-tensile carbon fibers wrapped in a high-purity quartz sleeve. This keeps the fibers from oxidizing and lets the tube get way hotter than your typical Nicrome wire could ever dream of. The heat it puts out is mostly long-wave infrared. In plain English: the heat sinks deep into plastics or organic materials. You get a thorough cure without accidentally scorching the surface. Getting them installed (and a few warnings) Wiring these into your standard PID control loops is easy. They’re snappy. The moment you kill the power, the temperature drops almost instantly. No waiting around for things to cool down. But, here is the catch:quartz is fragile. If your mounting brackets are too tight or your machine vibrates a lot, the tube will crack. It’s a headache you don’t want. Use spring-loaded clips so the tube has a little room to breathe. Also, these things put out a lot of energy. Make sure your ventilation is actually up to the task. If the airflow gets blocked, you’ll end up burning out the ends of the tubes, and that’s just a waste of a good part.
