At 300mm long and just 10mm across, it’s surprisingly small. But don’t let the size fool you—it packs a full 2500W of heat into that tiny footprint. Running on 400V means the current is lower than you’d get with a 230V version at the same wattage. And that’s a good thing. It means you can use thinner wiring, smaller contactors, and you won’t lose as much voltage over long runs. The payoff? Consistent, reliable heat right where you need it.

What’s Inside?

Inside, the filament sits in a quartz envelope filled with halogen gas. That gas does some clever work—it keeps the filament from breaking down and stops the quartz from going black. So the heat output stays strong and steady, day after day. Quartz itself is perfect for this kind of job. It handles the shock of heating up and cooling down fast, and it lets the infrared heat through without a hitch. Then there’s the R7s connector. It’s a simple, straight-forward two-pin ceramic design. You get a secure connection that’s quick to wire up, and it fits right into standard ceramic holders. No fuss, just a solid connection.

Real-World Use: PET Blowing and More

In PET blowing, this lamp heats preforms fast and evenly. The high heat density cuts down on cycle time, which is great. But here’s the catch—that kind of heat needs proper cooling. Make sure your machine has enough airflow or some thermal shielding to keep the surroundings from getting too hot. And if you’re already using an R7s-based system, this is a straight swap. Same interface, same setup. That makes maintenance planning a lot simpler.
