We went with a 400V, 2500W rating to pack a lot of heat into a short, 300mm tube. The upshot? You get serious heat density right where you need it. But here’s the thing: that kind of power also means a heavy electrical load. So you need to make sure your wiring, terminals, and ventilation are all set up to handle the full load. The tube itself is just 10mm across, so it slips right into existing spots without forcing you to redesign the whole assembly.

What It’s Made Of

Inside that quartz envelope, you’ve got a carbon fiber filament surrounded by a halogen gas. That combo is why this lamp can hit high temps almost instantly—and hold steady without burning out quickly. The halogen cycle does a neat trick, too: it keeps the inside of the envelope clean, which helps the lamp deliver consistent heat over time. And the R7s connector? It’s a simple, two-contact ceramic base. It carries the current and gives the lamp solid support. Plus, it’s designed so you can swap it out on the spot—no tools needed.
