The Real-World Tech

We built these for the kind of work that doesn’t forgive weak gear. They run on 400V and crank out serious wattage, because that’s what it takes to deliver the heat density you need for line-of-sight heating. The 300mm length? That was a deliberate choice. It slips into compact zones where every millimeter matters. And because we’re running high voltage at high wattage, the current stays lower for the same power. That means you can use smaller conductors and worry less about voltage drop across the wiring run. But higher wattage also means you have to plan cooling and enclosure space. We’re upfront about that—plan the heat, and the electronics stay happy.

Materials and Build

Inside, the carbon fiber element gives you stable resistance and a response that’s almost instant. The quartz envelope handles high temperatures and stays clear, so the infrared energy gets through efficiently. A halogen gas fill protects the element and keeps output steady over the life of the lamp. And for termination, we use R7s connectors. They snap in quickly and stay reliable through the thermal cycling of a machine that runs for real.
