Think of it as a gentler approach. Instead of a harsh, concentrated hit, these carbon fiber elements give off a steady flow of medium-to-long wave infrared radiation. The balance of power and size Since we’re spreading 800W across a full 80cm, the heat isn’t crammed into one spot. That’s a good thing. It means you won’t deal with those annoying hotspots that ruin a workpiece. You get a smooth, consistent thermal profile across the whole footprint. We picked this specific wattage because some materials just can’t handle extreme heat without warping or breaking down. It’s about protection. Now, if you’re in a rush and need things to heat up faster, you can just bank a few of these lamps in parallel. Why carbon fiber? Inside that quartz tube is a carbon fiber filament. We chose this over tungsten because carbon fiber is just tougher when it comes to expanding and contracting. It doesn’t snap as easily when you’re flipping the power on and off all day. The quartz glass keeps everything sealed and stops the filament from oxidizing. Getting it running Wiring these into your oven is pretty simple. But here’s a tip: make sure your controller is actually tuned for the resistive load of carbon fiber.
