
Let’s talk about the 740mm Carbon Heat Lamp
If you’re running an industrial setup and need heat—and you need it now—this lamp is exactly what you’re looking for. We built this specifically for those moments where you can’t afford to wait around for a machine to warm up. It covers a 740mm span and gets the job done fast. The power side of things It pumps out 1200W at 220V. Now, why does that matter? Well, we balanced the wattage across that 740mm length so you don’t end up with those annoying hot spots. You know the ones—where one part of your material is perfect and the other is warped or burnt through. It plugs right into your standard 220V industrial circuits. Just a quick tip: make sure your contactors can handle the initial startup surge. It’ll save you from having to replace worn-out parts way too soon. Why carbon? Most old-school lamps use nichrome coils, but we went with a carbon filament. It’s a different beast. It doesn’t need to get screaming hot to push out that medium-to-long wave infrared heat. Because it’s wrapped in quartz glass to keep the oxygen away from the filament, it hits operating temperature almost instantly. If you’re swapping out an old halogen system, this will fit right in, even if the heat it puts out feels a bit different. Making it work in your shop You’ll usually see these in PET blowing setups, curing lines, or drying tunnels. Because they’re wide, you don’t have to clutter your machine with a dozen smaller lamps. But, a word of caution:quartz is fragile. If your floor shakes or things get bumped around, please, for the love of your sanity, put a protective cage around it. Otherwise, you’re just waiting for a tube to shatter. Also, carbon filaments hate voltage spikes. They’re sensitive. To keep them from burning out prematurely, I’d strongly suggest using a PID controller or a solid-state relay. It keeps the power steady and your production line moving.
