We built this lamp for one reason: industrial heating that needs to snap to attention. It’s not some all-purpose bulb you throw at any job. This is a focused infrared workhorse, designed for processes where hitting the same temperature, again and again, is non-negotiable.
The Power Behind the Heat
At the heart of it is a 300mm quartz tube. The length is just right—it slips into tight heating zones without forcing you to rework the whole machine. We run it at 400V, and here’s why that matters: you get more power without needing thicker wiring. That means when you need to climb to your setpoint, you do it fast. And with 2500W packed into that tube, you get serious heat density in a small footprint. It’s intense, right where you need it. But with that kind of power comes a little reality check. Pushing 2500W at 400V draws serious current, so the gear around it—contactors, wiring, insulation—needs to be up to the task. And cooling? That’s not optional. If the reflector or enclosure is too small, the lamp runs hotter, and the control system has to fight to keep things steady.
What It’s Made Of—And Why It Matters
Quartz is the backbone because it handles wild temperature swings without cracking. It just stays steady, even when you’re pushing it hard. Inside, the carbon fiber filament keeps resistance consistent and spreads the heat evenly. No hot spots. No surprise failures. Just reliable performance, shift after shift. Then we added stainless end-caps and internal supports. They give the whole thing real rigidity and keep oxidation from sneaking in at the seals. And for the connector, we went with R7s. It’s a practical choice for the factory floor. Secure two-point contact. Swap it out in a flash. Wire it up, line up the pins, and lock it in—no messing around with fragile terminal blocks.
Where It Shines—And What to Plan For
This lamp is for the moments when infrared heat has to land exactly where you want it: plastic forming, curing, drying, or sealing. Because it responds so quickly, you spend less time waiting around for temperatures to change. And because the filament behaves so predictably, every run feels like the last one. Now, it’s tough—engineered to take a beating—but it’s not magic. It needs airflow and proper mounting clearances. When you get the airflow and fit right, you get heat you can count on, performance that stays steady, and fewer surprise shutdowns.
