It wakes up fast and settles into a steady output, which is exactly what automated lines, packaging machines, and plastic processing cells need to keep moving.

The Nitty-Gritty

Here’s the thing that makes it work: we run these tubes at 400V. That lets us pack a lot of wattage into a small space without straining the wiring. A 300mm tube can hit 2500W—pure, focused power. And because it’s shortwave infrared, the energy goes straight where you need it: onto the target surface. Not into the air. That speed matters when every second counts on the line.

What’s Inside

Inside, you’ve got a carbon fiber element sealed in a quartz envelope, filled with halogen gas. The halogen cycle keeps the element stable when things get scorching, and it fights the blackening that can dim output over time. So the heat stays consistent. Quartz handles the thermal shock without cracking, so the tube stays solid even when it’s running hot. And we use R7s and SK15 connectors because they’re proven in industrial fixtures. They lock in clean, and make the lamp a simple drop-in swap. No fuss.

Where It Shines

This setup is made for applications that demand fast, focused heat—PET blowing, thermoforming, laminating, drying lines. The power density means you get rapid temperature recovery, which is great—but it also means your machine’s cooling and mounting need to be up to the task. If the heat sinking is too small, the base runs hotter, and that shortens the tube’s life. Get the thermal design matched to the tube, and you get heating you can count on—again and again—with maintenance that stays predictable.
