What makes it tick
Here’s the heart of it: this lamp packs a lot of wattage into a short length. You’re looking at roughly 2500W at 400V inside a quartz tube that’s around 300mm long. That design puts the heat right where you want it, without spreading the hot zone out over a bigger area. And that 400V rating? It’s a practical choice for industrial heating circuits. It keeps the current lower for the same power, so your wiring stays easier to manage and you don’t lose as much voltage across connections.
Materials and the way it’s built
Inside, a carbon fiber filament runs in a halogen atmosphere. That helps keep output stable and stretches the filament’s life. The “green” part is about the coating and spectrum—it cuts down on glare you can see, and it reduces smoke by-products while the lamp runs. The payoff is simple: a cleaner work area and better visibility for the person running the machine. Then there’s the R7s base—double-ended, linear, and made to lock the lamp in place. It gives you solid electrical contact, so installation feels like a straightforward drop-in. No fuss.
Where it shines—and what to watch for
This setup is a natural fit for plastic processing work, especially tasks like PET blowing. You get heating that’s fast and easy to control, without coating the machine in smoke or residues.
